Stamford Resident Charged with Shooting Police Officer in the Face

Stamford Police officer, Richard Gasparino suffered a single gunshot wound to the face during a drug raid at a residence, in the Cove section of Stamford. Ephraim Goitom, 27, of Lockwood Avenue was charged with shooting the officer.

Word on the streets: is that Goitom's residence was being "raided" by the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit for obvious reasons.  'They' say that the unit approached the door and clearly stated who they were and why they were there... As they proceeded to take down the door, Goitom opened fire; shooting Officer Gasparino in the face, through the door.

As of now we won't know the REAL story, probably never will. But I, personally, think it's an awful situation for both parties involved: being shot in the face can possibly cause long term issues that he may have to deal with for the rest of his life.  But hey, he is in officer and in the line of duty; I guess that's what he signed up for.  Speaking of long term, Goitom will have a lot of time to think of the choices he made last night. I really wish young black men wouldn't make such decisions: to live this life they see on t.v. and in the movies... It's really tragic to see a young life being taken like this. I wish them the best of luck. Stay up brotha!

Where Did Wiz Khalifa Come From?

Cameron Jibril Thomaz, better known as his stage name 'Wiz Khalifa' was born on September 8th, 1987 in Minot, North Dakota. Later, he was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to a mother and a father serving in the military. Due to their service in the military, it caused them to move a lot. He's lived in Japan, Germany and England before settling in Pennsylvania.

His stage name, "Khalifa", was derived from the Arabic word meaning "successor" and wisdom; which was shortened to "Wiz" when he was fifteen.

It seem like Wiz just dropped on the scene with his new track "Black and Yellow", but he's been around for awhile. Since 2006, to be exact...

Wiz signed with Warner Bros. Records in 2006, where he released his debut album Show and Prove. He parted with the Warner Bros. and released his second album Deal or No Deal in November 2009. Soon he released a mixtape Kush and Orange Juice, he then signed with Atlantic Records.

Now, being all the "buzz"; Wiz has brought to us great music and his love for Chuck Taylor All-Stars, hence the name of his fanbase: the "Taylor Gang".

I, personally, enjoy his contribution to the music world and hope to see what this amazing lyricist comes up with next. Good luck Wiz! :-)

8 Million Dollar iPhone, WHAT THE HECK?!

Most of us have fallen victim to Apple and their shenanigans with this iPhone business. But c'mon!! $8,000,000? Stuart Hughes, British jeweler, who's known for his pricey recreations of the popular gadgets! He's at it again. This time, with the blinged out iPhone 4 with a price tag of EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS. It contains approximately 500 individual diamonds that come up to roughly 100 carats; also there are 53 diamonds in the back that make up the Apple, AND the main navigation button is Platinum, holding one 7.4 pink diamond. If you're a jeweler, all of this may mean something to you. But to regular folks, like myself... It just sounds like a lot of money! C'mon Stu. Cut the crap.
